Since they said the economy has recover, shouldn’t CPF contribution for employers to be restore now? I think if they restore employer’s CPF contribution and increase GST at the same time, people won’t be so negative about the hike.
you don’t fully appreciate the magic of our elite leaders, they are outcome based and look at the end of the big picture. other people internally happy first then smile externally, but our magic leaders think, only want the outcome, ie smile, the details how that is reached are for us to work out.
so outcome of good booming economy is more taxes and higher ministerial pay, so to get that, increase tax and up ministerial pay, and how the economy can support that is up to us to work out, since that is process and details, and leaders do not concern themselves with details, only big picture. fly helicopter cannot see the ants on the ground. btw, this is called prepaid card.
the char kway teo had said, GST rise, but that means pay would rise also, so that must be true how the leaders minds work. and to lead by example how pay would rise to make GST hike not an issue, the leaders will up their pay to show that, really 2% hike is nothing compared to 20% pay rise of the country’s bestest. welfare is a vulgar word more dirty than chao chee bye, because that would erode melitocrazy, where the bestest of the bestest rise to the top and think of the big picture, while those who are not good enough jump onto MRT tracks to erase themselves from the singapore gene pool, thus making the local livestock increase the value of their genes.
CPF however, would not rise, because CPF is part of process how singaporean men get to enjoy a sex fling on batam after they have survived long enough to claim their CPF money, and leaders are not concerned with details and process how we get to the end of the big picture. besides, singapore is a conservative and virtuous society, increasing the CPF will mean more immoral sex when we get our CPF, so our leaders are concerned and would not want to let us have the ability to have more sex.

We can never influence the LKY PAP into restoring CPF cuts or anything at all because LKY rigs elections [for proof, see my blog, url above]. That is why LKY can act like a little tinpot dictator, because he rigs elections.
