   The whole reason for the GST hike is so that our impoverished MINISTERS can now properly survive on HONEST Tax dollars and not resort to dishonest means like what they’ve probably been enticed to do the many years that they’ve been paid HALF of what they truly deserve for making lots of brilliant comments in Parliament, like “budget made in heaven”, and shooting down those nasty opposition MPs who are only up to no good and dividing the country with divisive politics by asking pertinent questions. Only traitors ask pertinent questions. If you’re loyal, you should nod your heads in unison without any independent thought.

   In the first place, are all of them ministers capable enough to even earn that much in the private sector? Are all of them star players in the private corporate world? What about that minister who made a boo boo during the SARS period? And the minister who made a mess of the education sector? Are all of these “talents” worth that much in the private sector? Does the private sector even want some of them “top talents”? Why are they leeching on to the enterprise of the private sector? Taking our tax dollars and paying themselves as if they are making that great a contribution to Singapore? No wonder our countries’ policies are geared towards the rich! The richer the richest get, the more they can pay themselves! No wonder they laughed derisively at Opposition MP Low’s suggestion to peg their pay at 100 times that of the poorest in Singapore!

   DAMMIT!

   It’s kinda sad though… Doesn’t this mean that these minsters would most definitely resort to dishonest means to get money if their pay are lowered? Are they that easily corrupted? Does this mean that the US president is actually corrupted, though that seems highly probable…

   But it just doesn’t add up right…

   Low pay = High probability of corruption
   High pay = No corruption.

   But doesn’t corruption mean getting more money? So, aren’t they already corrupted, since they’re getting more pay, therefore more money? Sure the money doesn’t come from an individual who’s looking for leverage… But the money comes from the government… and aren’t they representing the government itself? Sounds like they’re corrupted within themselves…

   They feel that they should get more pay, so they get it…
   I feel I should get more pay… Using the above formula, shouldn’t I get more pay too? I guess it’s ok for them cos the ones signing their cheque is themselves. And the bank account? Taxpayers dollars…

   Sounds dodgy to me… Sounds very dodgy…
