Without Substance and Feeble
“Your honor, the International Bar Association decided to honor Singapore and hold its annual conference in this city and you were given an opportunity to present your case, with your complaint that Singapore lack the rule of law. There were some 3,000 lawyers there. I think they left Singapore with a very different impression from what you have projected because we have a letter from the President of the International Bar Association to the organizers, namely the Law Society of Singapore, how successful the meeting was and how impressed they were by the standards they found to obtain in the judiciary…” Minister Mentor.
Once upon a time, the IBA was held with a high enough regard by a person no less than our MM, that they were brought up in court as an example of how impressed the international audiences were with the high standards of singapore’s judiciary.
Then yesterday-
“Singapore dismisses human rights allegations in IBA report as feeble and without substance”- The Straits Times.
So now the IBA is supposed to be feeble and without substance? If the IBA is feeble and without substance, than why did the MM go to court brandishing a letter supposedly written by the President of the IBA as proof the impressive standards of our judiciary?
Kind of makes you wonder who is the one who is feeble and without substance.

He’s a senile old bastard who thinks the general local populace of Singapore as stupid. Hell we got a Finance Minister giving this to us yesterday, as quoted: Finance Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam has warned that Singapore could face another round of inflation if companies increase wages to help workers cope with the higher cost of living today.
Higher worker pay = inflation
Everyone knows something’s wrong with that equation. That coming from a minister? We have morons, idiots as ministers people.

The emperor must be feeling stark naked now. In situations like these, he will gets his running dog the dog-vinder to do the barking.
We do know too well that no organization is perfect. The best is not to go by recommendation, especially past recommentation, alone, but see and judge for ourselves.
